Your hospitality or leisure management experience will thrive here as you make sure we deliver a truly five star member experience. Top boss, head honcho, big cheese, the gaffer. Call it what you will, it means you'll inspire and motivate a team to excel in everything they do. Friendly professional, as opposed to friendly informal, you have a positive ‘can-do' approach and a real flair for thinking on your feet and putting others at ease from the moment they meet you. You're passionate about service standards too, plus you have experience in budget management, good project management skills and an enviable track record in recruiting and retaining the best performers the industry has to offer.
Have you got what it takes to manage the day-to-day staffing and facility issues in a health club environment? Could you guarantee a safe and healthy environment that delivers excellent member service? Would you be comfortable deputising for the General Manager when the need arises? Then this is the role for you. Full of initiative and well organised under pressure, your experience as an Operations or Assistant Manager in a health or leisure setting has given you an excellent knowledge of both wet and dry side facilities. What's more, you have good time and project management skills, impressive people management skills and a real flair for motivating and developing and a team and managing change.
A role that's all about making sure every one of our members' visits is a positive experience. You'll play your part in everything from opening and closing the club through to ensuring our Membercare staff are managed effectively and our Food & Beverage facilities are functioning well. In short, you'll see that our people are doing their jobs and that daily club operations are running smoothly. Already with some customer service experience, knowledge of health and safety legislation would be ideal. You'll also need the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or be willing to complete it within your first month with us.
Member Services Managers
Maintaining the highest standards of membership administration and customer service is of paramount importance to each and every Virgin Active club. Keeping secure, accurate records of members' personal details, ensuring prompt collection of fees, making retention calls and dealing with member related queries – all are elements of this challenging role. But, if you're a highly efficient team player with excellent interpersonal skills you could be just the person we're looking.
